For my design, I am using: Three switches each with its own ip address (static address), a core router that will act as my DHCP, each switch is going to have two laptop computers to it and each computer will be on separate vlans, there will be three vlans each named vlan 1-Studen, vlan 2-Faculty, and vlan 3-Lab, each device will have a dynamic address, I will shoot fiber between faculty and the Internet, a firewall between faculty and the core router to help protect it, and the server will run Linux 1 and 2. The core router will have a set of rules that will enforce specific connectivity between the vlans.

The biggest task is that I will make it to where the Faculty vlan will be able to connect to the Student vlan, but the Student vlan will not be able to connect to the Faculty. I will exclude addresses from switch 3 (

Switch 1 name = Switch1

Switch 2 name = Switch2

Ip address


Switch 3 name = Switch3

Router name = Core

Ip dhcp excluded-address
