Fall 2014 Project Status Report

Due by Friday, December 13.

To complete you fall work in CSC4081 you must complete a end of term status report. This must include the following:

  1. An executive summary of the current state of work on the project (2-3 paragraph overview)
  2. A complete overview of the work completed this fall. This should include:
    • A brief description of the activity
    • A approximate number of hours worked on each task
  3. Current summary of system specifications
    • A list of system specifications from you earlier system specification, revised to current state.
    • A description of the work done on each (in terms of a %)
  4. An overview of the current or planned system Architecture
    • A diagram of all planned components/modules
    • A description of the purpose and function of each component/module
  5. A risk based plan for the next steps
    • A list of risks the projects faces
    • An evaluation of the scale and importance of each rest (Insignificant, Tolerable, Serious, Catastropic), and the probibility (low, medium, high)
    • A brief plan for next steps given the risk assessment (one-tow page)

Weekly Meeting Deliverables and Expectations

  1. Updated log showing 2-4 hours work (minimum)
  2. Updated project Status page
  3. Proposed activities for following week.

  1. A demo of the current work (with code)
  2. A (revised) set of objectives and specifications.
  3. A risk analysis of the current project, along with a choice for the next (highest risk) aspect to implement
  4. A revised design and plan for next iteration
