Lab 10 for CSNE Majors

Overview

We will be continuing with the next 3 learning labs from CISCO. These are more involved labs, and will require some reading and research to understand. A great resource is CCENT/CCNA ICND1 Official Exam Certification Guide, Second Edition .

Steps

  1. Log in at: CISCO Lab Login
  2. Launch the Learning lab
  3. Log in again for the lab
  4. For each lab, if you don't have significant experience setting up Cisco egquipment, it is imporant that you watch he video's for each lab. These are about 14-15 minutes each.
  5. Troubleshoot and Resolve a Single-Area OSPFv2
  6. Troubleshoot and Resolve VLAN Problems
  7. Troubleshoot and Resolve Trunking Problems
  8. Troubleshoot and Resolve Access List
  9. Answer the questions below, and turn in

1. "Troubleshoot and Resolve a Single-Area OSPFv2"

Overview:
  • In this activity, you will troubleshoot and resolve network issues that are caused by incorrect configuration of the single-area OSPFv2. After completing this activity, you will be able to meet these objectives:
    • Troubleshoot and resolve the OSPF passive interface issue on Branch
    • Troubleshoot and resolve the OSPF duplicate RID issue between R1 and R2
    • Troubleshoot and resolve the network mask mismatch issue that is preventing formation of an OSPF neighbor relationship between R3 and Branch
    • Verify the connectivity between the Loopback0 interface networks of R1, R2, and R3

2. "Troubleshoot and Resolve VLAN Problems"

In this activity, you will troubleshoot and resolve network issues that are caused by incorrect configuration of the VLANs. After completing this activity, you will be able to meet these objectives:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve the VLAN 10 issue on SW1
  • Troubleshoot and resolve the VLAN 20 issue on SW1
  • Verify connectivity between Branch and the Loopback0 interface networks of R1, R2, and R3

In this activity, you will troubleshoot and resolve network issues that are caused by incorrect configuration of VLANs, trunks, and inter-VLAN routing. After completing this activity, you will be able to meet these objectives:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve the VLAN 10 trunking issue on SW1
  • Troubleshoot and resolve the trunking issue between SW1 and SW2
  • Troubleshoot and resolve the inter-VLAN routing configuration issue on Branch

4. "Troubleshoot and Resolve Access List"

Activity Objective

In this activity, you will troubleshoot and resolve network issues that are caused by incorrect configuration of the named standard and extended access lists. After completing this activity, you will be able to meet these objectives:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve the TFTP issues on R1 and R2 that are caused by misconfigured access list TFTP-ACL on Branch
  • Copy a small configuration file descript-confg from the TFTP server on Branch to the running configuration on R1 and R2
  • Troubleshoot and resolve the connectivity issue on R3 that is caused by misconfigured access list STD-ACL-R3 on Branch
  • Verify connectivity to the Loopback0 interfaces of R1 and R2 from R3
  • Troubleshoot and resolve the NTP issues on R2 and R3 that are caused by misconfigured access list EXTD-OUTBOUND-ACL on Branch
  • Verify that the NTP clock is synchronized on R1, R2, and R3
