Major Requirements Tracking System User Requirements

  • Administrators:
    • The system will allow administrators to log in and view all student/faculty information.
    • The system will allow administrators to add classes to the database. (Something that would be added after the system is finished.)
    • The system will allow administrators to create new majors/new versions of majors. (Something that would be added after the system is finished.)
  • Users:
    • The system will allow users to create a profile without any administrator privileges.
    • The system will allow the user to log in with a unique username and password combination.
    • The system will allow the user to choose one of the 3 majors in the Computer Science Department.
    • The system will list the required courses to fulfill that major.
    • The system will allow the user with a way to mark classes he/she has already taken and when it was taken.
    • The system will let the user see what classes he/she needs to still take to complete the major they have chosen.
    • The system will allow the user to mark a time they wish to take a class, in effect planning out their schedule.
    • The system will allow the user to add Faculty that are able to view their classes taken/needed/planning to take.
  • Faculty:
    • The system will allow faculty to view classes taken/needed/planning to take of students who have added them.
