1 System Context & Scope

The scope of this project is to make a piece of hardware with a firewall and a cache to accompany the J-term trip to the country of Belize. This is not only to help with the issue of keeping them on research friendly sites, but also the connection down in Belize is so slow that we need to make sure every bit of it is utilized to its fullest and most spread out capabilities.

1.1 Scope of the System

Stated above, but the main thing we need to a web cache and bandwidth shaping.

1.2 Workflow Partitioning

1.3 Product Boundary

We only have a 1mb/s connection that must be shared by everyone.

1.4 Use Case List

2 Functional and Data Requirements

This is to lay out the funtionallity and the requirements.

2.1 Functional Requirements.

Distributing the bandwith but my job is to test the product after it is done.

3 Look, Feel and Use Requirements

Define the User Interface

3.1 User Interface Requirements

  1. Ease of Use
  2. Secure
  3. Understandable
  4. Readable
  5. Changeable
3.2 Style Of The Product Requirements

3.3 Ease Of Use Requirements

Must be able to have documentation or ease of use incorporated so that users can monitor and adjust the shaper as time goes on.

4 Performance Requirements

5 Operational Requirements

In what system context will the solution operate. What other systems will interact with this system.
